Rajarshi Janak Central Library (RJCL), Central University of South Bihar, has taken a significant step towards strengthening research support and scholarly engagement with the establishment of the INFLIBNET Research Corner and the RJCL Corner. These dedicated corners were formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K. N. Singh, on October 13, 2025, marking an important milestone in the University’s journey toward research excellence and digital scholarship.
The INFLIBNET Research Corner has been conceptualized as a focused space to promote awareness, access, and effective utilization of national-level scholarly resources and services provided by INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar. The corner serves as a single-point facilitation hub for researchers, faculty members, and students to explore e-resources such as e-ShodhSindhu, Shodhganga, Shodhgangotri, IRINS, VIDWAN, and other research-support platforms. By offering guided access and on-the-spot assistance, the Research Corner plays a crucial role in enhancing research visibility, ensuring ethical use of information, and encouraging the adoption of best practices in academic writing, plagiarism awareness, and scholarly communication.
Complementing this initiative, the RJCL Corner has been created to showcase the intellectual and academic contributions of the Central University of South Bihar community. This corner highlights university publications, faculty research outputs, institutional reports, and significant academic achievements, thereby fostering a sense of institutional identity and pride. It also acts as a platform to preserve and disseminate the knowledge produced within the University, aligning with the broader goals of open access and knowledge sharing.
The inauguration ceremony by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor underscored the University’s commitment to creating a research-friendly ecosystem and empowering scholars with reliable information infrastructure. The presence of these dedicated corners within the library reinforces the evolving role of RJCL as not merely a repository of books, but as an active research partner supporting teaching, learning, and innovation.
